Dufour 560 Grand Large Overview
The Dufour 560 Grand Large is the French sailboat manufacturer’s flagship. Despite its size, she proves to be fun, responsive, and easy to sail even short-handed. The cockpit is divided into steering and comfort zones with the forward section sporting twin settees for seating up to 8 as well as a table and optional sink and fridge. In the maneuvering area, twin helms have primary winches within easy reach and the mainsheet is double-ended making it adjustable from either side.
The exterior of the yacht embodies elegance, luxury, and vibrancy with the modernity from its sweeping lines, angled corners, horizontal sleek side windows, and uniquely Dufour top-fixed hatch. But she offers more than good looks from the dock as every inch is filled with an opulent comfort in both design and functionality. The Grand Large 560’s expansive transom top offers plenty of room for sun bathing. In the stern, Dufour’s signature “tower” offers the grillmaster aboard an Eno plancha grill, sink and prep surface. Even in the galley, it is not so bad to be in charge of feeding the crew from its thoughtful placement of features with the stove near the Eno stove and nice touches such as a Nespresso coffee maker. Plus, with the comfy settees and pop-up flatscreen TV, you will likely have company nearby as you cook.
