Since 1965, Wauquiez has built efficient, oceangoing cruising yachts. The venerable brand has come to be recognized for comfort, speed, reliability, and beautiful styling. Wauquiez design specifications are based on efficient hull design, ergonomic deck layout, top-of-the-line equipment, and comfortable living spaces.
Wauquiez living spaces are designed for long stays so all the functions expected of a great cruiser will be found on every yacht in the Wauquiez range. The ultra-comfortable interior are bathed in natural light, dressed in soft color shades, fitted with integrated quality equipment, and designed with abundant working and storage spaces as well as comfortable areas for relaxing whether sailing or at the mooring.
The Wauquiez engineering and design team works alongside notable naval architects and take part in designing new models incorporating the latest boat-building technology. Hulls are developed to optimize speed both under sail and power. Deck fittings, equipment, and rigging are sourced from the highest quality suppliers and brands.
Contemporary styling of these yachts turns heads in every port.
Wauquiez hulls are molded using bisphenolic resins for the external layers to ensure long terms protection. The hulls are built with a balsa sandwich using the infusion technique for an optimum resin/fiber ratio. This process achieves greater weight reduction, excellent rigidity, and good sound and thermal insulation. The hull structure is also reinforced manually.
All lateral bulkheads are fiberglassed and bonded to the hull and deck thus further reinforcing the overall structure of the yacht. The deck is fitted to the hull using polyurethane bonding and mechanical fastening.
