Fountaine Pajot 55: A New Benchmark in the Flybridge Range

One of the newest models scheduled to launch in 2026, the Fountaine Pajot 55 catamaran is set to become the smallest flybridge catamaran in the range. At 55 feet, this model bridges the gap between the Aura 51 and the Samana 59, by providing the ease and practicality of the Aura 51 with the flybridge features of larger models like the Samana 59. The exterior profile of the FP 55 catamaran is heavily inspired by the Thira 80, making it look like a small flagship model with all its design features, including solar panels, solar hard top, and a large forward cockpit flush with the salon. This new model was built to provide owners with all the features that the Fountaine Pajot brand is known for, including effortless flow of movement on board, combined with the latest innovations.

Versatility in Every Detail: Layouts, Power, and Performance

At nearly 17 meters in length, the FP 55 offers the volume and flexibility of a much larger yacht. Several layout options are available, from the standard Maestro version with one owner’s suite and four guest cabins, to a double Maestro with two full suites, or even a six-cabin configuration, optimized for charter. Standard propulsion is powered by twin 80 HP engines, while the upwind sail area totals 110 m². With a beam of 8.8 meters, a draft of 1.85 meters, and generous tank capacities (1,220 liters of fuel and 800 liters of water), the FP 55 specs make it perfectly suited for extended bluewater cruising. Thanks to its 6,300 W of integrated solar power, this model is a natural step forward for Fountaine Pajot in their pursuit of eco-conscious sailing, offering both comfort and autonomy with minimal reliance on a generator.

Life on Deck Redefined, from Flybridge to Foredeck

The Fountaine Pajot 55 layout invites you on board to unwind and make use of all the social areas, each designed with spaciousness in mind. The foredeck includes two forward settees, placed on each side of the central forward sunbed. The forward cockpit is flush with the salon, a signature feature on many larger models, and connects directly to the interior through a forward salon door for optimal flow and an effortless indoor-outdoor experience. Not surprisingly, the FP 55 flybridge is one of the highlights. It’s incredibly large for a model of this size, featuring a seating area with a modular dining table, a full-size grill, and an integrated forward helm station that invites the captain to remain at the heart of the social action. Equally generous, the aft cockpit invites you into a large, airy, well-connected space to relax, dine, or socialize. Just steps from the water, the transom features a grill on the starboard side and seamlessly transitions into the incredibly spacious and bright salon.

Inside the FP 55: Natural Light, Space, and Seamless Transitions

The Fountaine Pajot 55 interior has been inspired by the widely popular Aura 51. Like previous models in the range, the galley features a central island that elegantly transitions the cockpit into the salon and galley, which comes equipped with a full-height fridge and freezer for longer passages. The salon itself offers a U-shaped lounge that can be set up for dining or relaxation, while panoramic windows flood the space with light. The owner’s suite is a highlight, accessed directly from the transom for added privacy, and featuring an outward-facing bed with excellent views through the hull windows, plus a spacious bathroom and dressing area. The FP 55 layout offers many configuration options for guest accommodations that are equally inviting.
