Fountaine Pajot FPY 70S

Fountaine Pajot FPY 70S: A Redefined Flagship Model With Innovation at the Forefront

The Fountaine Pajot FPY 70S is the latest flagship model from Fountaine Pajot, keeping much of the design DNA of the Thira 80. Before you even step onboard, the similarities are immediately noticeable, including the solid forward trampoline, expansive foredeck, and equally generous aft section. At the stern, generous transom steps lead directly into the water, while a hydraulic platform makes launching and retrieving a tender effortless. Two platform options are available, fixed or foldable; most captains tend to favor the latter since it accommodates a larger dinghy. Its striking profile can be attributed to the sleek grey hull design coupled with Fountaine Pajot’s distinctive solar hardtop. On both port and starboard sides of the aft platform, you’ll find practical storage lockers for cleats and mooring lines, each equipped with capstans to make docking in windy conditions much easier.

A Clear Focus on Versatility and Autonomy

One of the strengths of the FPY 70S is its adaptability. With up to eight layout configurations, owners can choose a galley-up or galley-down design, three to six guest cabins, and as many as five crew cabins. This versatility makes the yacht equally suited for private ownership, extended family cruising, or charter operations. Designed by Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design, the FPY 70S delivers performance and autonomy with a clear focus on sustainability. It carries 7,000 W of solar panels, a 64 kWh lithium battery bank, and a generator with the sole purpose of recharging the batteries while underway. At 22 meters long with a 10.03-meter beam and a sail area of 168 m² upwind, the FPY 70S offers maximum stability and top sailing performance, while large capacity tanks ensure independence during extended cruises. Every refined detail has been shaped to redefine what it means to live at sea.

Outdoor Spaces That Invite Connection

The aft cockpit is a massive, versatile social hub, covering a customizable area of 51 m². A dining table sits to port and a coffee table to starboard. On the starboard side, there’s also an outdoor aft galley that offers a well-equipped cooking space with an electric grill and cold storage. Beneath the central settee, ample storage provides space for dive gear or watersports equipment, keeping everything within reach without clutter. From here, there is also private access to the owner’s cabin, a popular feature common on larger yacht models. Above, the Fountaine Pajot FPY 70S flybridge offers an expansive retreat and another highly customizable space. Because the furniture is not part of the mold, owners can design this generous space to fit their lifestyle. The flybridge galley offers additional options for grilling, cold storage, and ice makers, while the twin helm station provides ample visibility and plenty of space to move around. This helm station setup, also featured on the Thira 80, is a favorite among captains because it creates one connected social space with the flybridge and invites guests to join in the sailing experience up front or relax back in the lounge area. Covered by a solar-panel hardtop, the flybridge is bound to become a favorite social place for sailors and guests alike.

Interior Comfort with a Personal Touch

The FPY 70S catamaran is designed with an excellent flow between interior and exterior spaces. The Fountaine Pajot FPY 70S interior salon features large panoramic windows that fill the room with natural light, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere that connects seamlessly to the forward and aft cockpits. The Maestro suite is a private sanctuary, measuring 25 m², with direct access to the aft terrace and en-suite facilities. Guest cabins, equally well-designed and generous, offer refined finishes and plenty of natural light. Crew quarters receive thoughtful attention too, with 34 m² dedicated to service, including a captain’s cabin with an en-suite bathroom. These careful layouts ensure that both guests and crew enjoy comfort and privacy. Materials, textures, and tones are customizable, allowing owners to create an interior style with a personal touch. With an abundance of configuration choices, the FPY 70S interior adapts to every moment.
