The Size Charter Fleets Choose Most

The majority of our brokerage yachts are between 40 -49 foot range and there is a practical reason for that. Boats around 40 to 50 feet offer enough space for a full complement of charter guests without becoming difficult to manage, making them a popular choice for charter fleets.

Every vessel listed was purchased by Dream Yacht and has gone through an extensive phase out process. For buyers that means a broad selection of boats across different brands, layouts, locations, and build years. If you are new to charter ownership, our charter management guide explains where these yachts come from, while out benefits of buying through Dream Yacht Brokerage sets out why the numbers work.

What 40 to 49 Feet Actually Covers

This size range includes a wide selection of both catamarans and monohulls. Catamarans include the Lagoon 42 and Lagoon 450, Fountain Pajot Astrea 42, Bali 4.5 and Bali Catspace. Monohulls include Beneteau Oceanis models and Dufour yachts such as the Dufour 412, Dufour 430, and Dufour 460.

At this length, the difference between one hull and two becomes particularly noticeable. A Dufour 412 and Lagoon 42 are close in overall length, but the catamaran typically costs considerably more. That difference reflects the additional beam, deck space, and cabin volume that comes with a second hull. Both offer different ways to use the same approximate length, so consider how much living space you actually need before narrowing your search.

Spread Across More Bases Than Any Other Size

Because the majority of our yachts sit in this size range, these yachts are also spread across more locations. Boats can be found throughout the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, and the exotics. See all worldwide destinations.

Before You Make an Offer

Once you have found a boat that fits your requirements, we can also help coordinate the survey, deregistration, flag paperwork, and delivery or shipping arrangements. Most sales take around six weeks from agreement to handover.
