A Wide Range of Yachts & Prices

The 50 to 59 foot size range is the smallest of our three size bands, but holds the widest spread of prices. The lease expensive boat here can be a fraction of the most expensive, so length on its own tells you very little at this end of the market. All came out of Dream Yacht charter programmes, looked after by our own technicians and only listed after completing our phase out process. What they were built to do varies greatly.

These were the largest yachts in the fleet, the ones that carried big groups, and the larger boats were run by professional charter skippers. At this size range these yachts offer substantial living space, multiple cabins, and ample outdoor areas. For buyers the documented history of a professionally managed charter yacht provides important context when comparing older and newer boats. What 50 to 59 Feet Actually Covers

All yachts in the Dream fleet come from world class manufacturers. The monohulls in this rage include the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 509 and 519, the Beneteau Oceanis 51.1 and the Bavaria 56. Catamarans include the Lagoon 52 F and Ipanema 58.

At this length the difference between a monohull and a catamaran becomes particularly apparent. A Sun Odyssey 509 and Lagoon 52 F are close in length but the catamaran will usually cost several times the monohull. If budget is a limiting factor, a large monohull is the most yacht you can get for your money. If space is more of a factor, then a catamaran is the path for you.

The Furthest Flung Boats We Sell

Yachts in this size range can be found across a wider array of our destinations than our smaller size ranges. Listings appear in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and as far as the Indian Ocean.

Location is worth considering early in your search. Viewing a yacht at this size may require more planning, while delivery or shipping is more likely to form part of the purchase. Dream Yacht will help narrow your shortlist based on specification and location before you arrange a visit. See all of our worldwide destinations to explore where our pre-owned yachts are based.

Before You Make an Offer

There are a few additional considerations at this size range first is that some yachts are priced in US dollars with the Euro figure shown as an estimated conversion, so confirm which currency you are actually paying in. Other important points include insurance, berthing, and antifouling, so ensure you ask for the annual running cost before you commit. We will also take the boat off the register, supply what you need for your own, and price a delivery or a shipment. Expect around six weeks between agreement and handover.

What paperwork is required to buy a pre-owned yacht?

The paperwork required to buy a used boat depends on the current registration of the boat. It also depends on the future registration of the boat, whether it is a private or a commercial sale.

Do you handle the paperwork for de-flagging and registration?

It is up to the new owner to undertake a survey on used boats.
