I’ve just come back from my Owner stay in Belize from the Placencia base with my family. It’s a base where I met staff who knew the whole fleet, and did their utmost to keep the equipment in good condition. The atmosphere is very family-oriented, and Yoan and Georges are very helpful, attentive and friendly. Georges knows all his boats by heart. We had a catamaran in very good condition and the pre-departure briefing on everything technical was detailed as never before. Yoan runs the base as if it were his own business, everything for DY, and that’s very rare.
From identifying the correct vessel and arranging finance to organizing surveys and negotiating pre-sale repairs with the seller, you handled everything, while keeping me fully informed and feeling like everything was in hand. Over a year in and I’m still happy.
We recently bought a catamaran, and as new sailors, we did not realize the magnitude of how complex it would be. Not only did they make the whole process seamless, they made it educational and enjoyable. They mentored us and were adamant in making sure we were informed every step of the way.
