The Process, Step by Step

12 Months Before
Our sales team, familiar with your yacht and you, will reach out to discuss your options:

  • Reclaim your yacht for personal use
  • Entrust us with its sale through our pre-owned yacht department
  • Negotiate a direct buyback if you’re upgrading to a new yacht in our management program

6 Months Before
We reconnect to confirm your plans.

3 Months Before –
If an owner chooses, a comprehensive survey can be arranged—at your expense if retaining the yacht, or at the buyer’s if a sales agreement exists. This expert assessment ensures your yacht meets the highest standards of safety and seaworthiness.

The surveyor inspects the boat both in and out of the water and conducts a sea trial, this neutral party allows for a fair assessment of the yacht. The surveyor will evaluate:

  • Engines and transmissions
  • Electronics and autopilot
  • Electrical system and batteries
  • Gas and freshwater systems
  • Steering and rigging
  • Anchoring gear
  • Hull integrity

Simultaneously, our base manager and you (if available) inspect for cosmetic issues and other damages beyond normal wear and tear.

What’s Included—and What’s Not

We address all repairs to restore seaworthiness and rectify issues beyond typical wear and tear. Examples include:

  • Faded cushions: considered normal wear—no action needed.
  • Torn cushions: we’ll repair them.
  • Scratches: not covered.
  • Missing locker doors: we’ll replace them.

This isn’t a full-scale refit but a precise, thoughtful tune-up respecting your yacht’s age and character.

Our Commitment in Action

Post-survey, we formalize findings with a Conditional Acceptance Of Vessel. Approximately half the boats pass without issues—testament to our rigorous maintenance!

For those requiring attention, work commences immediately:

  • 2–3 days for small monohulls
  • 3–4 days for larger monohulls
  • A week for catamarans
  • 7–8 days for larger catamarans

We invest significantly in parts and labor, understanding that your yacht’s final condition influences its resale value and your confidence at sea.
