Beneteau Monohulls
Simplicity and performance
A Pioneering Legacy
About Beneteau Monohulls
From modest beginnings, the Beneteau boat building legacy of excellence was launched by Benjamin Beneteau in 1884 after having his interest sparked at the boatyard of his best friend’s father at a very young age. His first shipyard was on the Quai des Greniers in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, France, where they would produce the region’s first engine-powered fishing boat in 1909.
The Beneteau family business continued to grow over the years, through visionary leadership and a relentless effort to understand and meet their customer’s ever-changing needs. By the 1970s their customers had learned to sail and wanted larger boats with greater comforts. The Beneteau First class was born, quickly meeting the evolving demand with quality and excellent performance.
Today, Beneteau yachts remain one of the largest and most respected brands in the industry with continued innovations in terms of both boats of processes, and making leading-edge yachts more accessible to sailors around the world. The 7th generation of First sailing yachts is still in production today, along with the iconic and popular Oceanis range of 30- to 60-foot monohulls.
With ever continuing innovation, Beneteau boats unite simplicity and practicality to create safe and efficient sailing yachts with stable hulls, easy handling and comfortable interiors.
